104-Year-Old Running Legend Fauja Singh Set to Return to India for a Marathon

If one were to think of putting a face to the adage, 'Age is just a number,' 104-year-old marathon runner Fauja Singh will make for a very strong contender. At the age of 104, this man, born and brought up in India, moved to the UK in early 90s, and took to running following a series of family tragedies, and never stopped after that.

Having run, and broken, various world racing records ranging from 100 metres to 5000 metres, Singh is on his way to Mumbai to run a marathon in Mumbai to be held on January 17, per this video made by Nestle India featuring the legendary centenarian.

Elated at the prospect of homecoming, after all these years, Singh is inspiration sprinting on feet. And India, as well as his passion for his soil, runs in his blood, as is evinced in the way he seems to be prepping for the race and calling upon fellow Indians to join him.
